The Milwaukee Brewers can win their first World Series title as early as Tuesday night. They hold a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series against the Tampa Bay Rays and have outscored their opponents 18-7 across the first three games.
The Brewers dominated Monday night in Game 3, winning 10-1. The margin of victory extended their offensive advantage over the Rays, who had secured the American League pennant just days earlier. In that series against the Cleveland Guardians, the Rays won Game 6 behind a home run by Junior Caminero.
This marks the first World Series appearance for the Rays since 2020. It is only their third in franchise history, following a loss to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008. The Brewers, meanwhile, have not reached the World Series since 1982. They earned their berth by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.
Neither the Brewers nor the Rays have ever won a World Series championship. The outcome of the current series will determine the first-time champion in this matchup. The Rays advanced to the series by defeating the Guardians 4-2 in the ALCS. The Brewers swept the Dodgers 4-0 in the NLCS.
Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The game will be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Fox, Fox Deportes, and fubo will carry the broadcast. If the series is not decided, Game 5 will take place on Wednesday, October 28, at the same time and venue.
Potential Game 6 and Game 7 are set for Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, respectively. Both games would be played in Milwaukee. The schedule allows for a two-day rest between the fifth and sixth games if the series goes that far. All games are set for 8 p.m. Eastern time.
The Brewers entered the World Series after a 2-1 victory over the San Diego Padres in the NLDS. The Rays beat the New York Yankees 3-0 in the ALDS. The Guardians won the ALDS against the Chicago White Sox 3-2, while the Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-1 in the NLDS.
The Rays won their last three ALCS games against Cleveland to close out the series. The Brewers won their last two NLCS games against the Dodgers to complete their sweep. The series began on Friday, October 23, with a 3-2 Brewers win in Game 1. The Brewers followed up with a 5-4 win in Game 2 on Saturday, October 24.
