Cowboys and Eagles Meet on Monday Night Football With Both Teams Sitting at 2-4

The Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, closing out Week 7 of the 2026 NFL season. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The NFC East matchup carries weight for two teams in need of a win. Both enter at 2-4, and both are trying to stay in the division race behind the New York Giants, who stand at 4-2-1.

Oddsmakers have Dallas as a 4.5-point road favorite, with the over/under at 44.5 points. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is dealing with blood clots, is inactive, so Tanner McKee will start. Popular player props include Saquon Barkley to score an anytime touchdown at +110 and a receiving yards line of 81.5 for Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Philadelphia has had perhaps the worst injury luck in the league this season, and it now faces controversy over how Hurts' blood clot condition was handled. There was some encouraging news, though. Barkley logged a full practice on Saturday and is listed as questionable. His return would help McKee, especially with No. 1 receiver DeVonta Smith out with a hamstring injury.

McKee made his first career start against Carolina last week, and it was not especially smooth. With fourth-string running back Dameon Pierce as the lead back and the ground game unable to get going, McKee threw 45 times while the Eagles ran only 13 times. A healthy Barkley could allow a more balanced attack against a Dallas front seven that has struggled. The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulated the game 10,000 times, has Philadelphia covering the spread in 53% of those runs.

Dallas has its own problems, mostly on defense. The Cowboys brought in six new starters on that side of the ball during the offseason and are still working to make the pieces fit. Entering Week 7, they rank last in the NFL against the run, 23rd against the pass and 25th in scoring defense. On the other side, quarterback Dak Prescott leads the league's fifth-best passing offense, and the Eagles' secondary, ranked 26th against the pass, has had trouble all season.

SportsLine NFL expert David Bearman leans toward the under. He noted that Dallas held Green Bay to 318 yards in its loss on Sunday night, with more than 100 of those yards coming on the Packers' opening drive. He pointed to the Cowboys' offense as the larger concern, with only 29 total points and an average of 335 yards over its last two games.

Bearman also had little faith in the opposing offense. "They face an Eagles offense that is basically left for dead," he said. Philadelphia ranks last in yards per play at 4.4, and 31st in pass yards per play, time of possession and offensive success rate. Bearman added that the Eagles "lead the world in 3-and-outs."
